PAPER ANGEL is a short visual novel made in RPG Maker VX Ace. You have become conscious and find yourself taking care of “Spinwhim”. Why? Who know! It is just great that you are here :-) !
I made this for Winter Visual Novel Jam 2022. It takes place during the ending of a snowstorm, it is embedded with feelings of winter. This is my first game and first story I finished. I hope you enjoy it.

DIRECTIONS:
Download Game. Unzip the Zipped File. Go in there. Run “Game.EXE”!
THE CONTROLS:
Arrow Keys for Navigating Menus
Z - Proceed
X - Cancel?
F5 toggles Fullscreen / F6 toggles Window Size
There is no saving or continuing, the dialogue boxes won’t let you…

NO! Please, why it's so short!? I liked it so bad that I cried when i realized that it's ended, this is heartbreaking, but kudos to the brilliant author, I will wait for whatever it takes to see the second part...I love Spinwhim...

I randomly found this game on Tumblr some time ago, and I still can't believe my eyes. The love put into every single illustration in this game is incredible, accompanied by an artstyle that keeps my eyes glued to the screen in pure awe, and the writing feels so ethereal and charming that I could keep on reading for hours. I feel I'm being transported into a strange yet enticing world, inviting me to become lost in it mysteries. Truly a wonderful game, I would love to see more from you.

The visuals are absolutely incredible, gotta be one of the most aesthetically pleasing games I've ever played and the storytelling is interesting, had me wondering about the deeper meaning of it. Really looking forward to your next creations!

RPG Maker VX Ace Games can only play on Windows but there are apparently ways for the EXE to be played if you look into it online search… Someday I may try to make this thing viewable in another way.

The visuals and dialogue are incredible! I took it slow and played a couple times, so I think I understand the fundamental reality of this bizarre existence. Partially because I was already on the same wavelength before even playing. Or maybe I'm reading too deep into an ambiguous story... But that means it's a good story! I am with for to and of Spinwhim!
