Your art and games always inspire me SO MUCH, this and Paper Angel are easily among my top 10 visual novels of all time... Every time I try to make something on Renpy I struggle a lot with the art looking "good enough" for a VN so the fact that you used mostly just sketches/simple art and made it work so incredibly well... I am on my knees.
Also needless to say I am a sucker for different stories that are slowly shown to be related to each other. So excited to see where this goes next!!
THIS WAS SO GOOD.... it sort of felt like reading a comic, i loved how it told the story non-traditionally for a vn, where its all just cgs instead of like sprites. even images with more negative space felt impactful. your understanding of expression and composition is like SOOOOOO HECKING GOOD, and the disturbing parts were sold so well. especially in the dream sequence its like in my mind i could see everything shifting and moving... i was totally hooked from beginning to end!! GAHHH IT WAS JUST SO GOOD, if you look up the definition for psychosexual i think this vn should appear right there <3

this game is good and I recommend playing it. It's scary and lovely and heart-breaking and relatable and bewildering. I can't wait to see if this blossoms but if not it was a very wild trip that I appreciate the time it took to make.
The art really elevates this one. It makes reality seem to shift and bend, and it shatters any amount of sanity that the briefly lucid interactions give. It feels like the world is only anchored in any sense when the two of them are interacting, and even that starts to break down as things go on. I couldn't look away, it was incredible.
This was incredible. I adore the artstyle, the story is just... something else. it's so impressive, I still can't believe the amount of effort that went into this. Absolute 10/10, keep on cooking please.
Rainjoke is a room and you the voyeur of its world, tasked with stepping away or looking within to step inside.
This VN wields its abstractions incredibly well, capturing the depths of loneliness, of pain and expectation never asked for yet imposed, and shares it with the visceral honesty and tenderness of loving reality, warts and all.
Its story is somber, vulnerable, cute, horny, terrifying, heartbreaking, so on, but above all else it is unabashedly genuine.
Despite the severe isolation core to its story, it has made the abused, messy parts of me feel like they're not alone.
THIS WAS SO GOOD i was so charmed by the title and im so glad i decided to play this one, i loveddd both of them, rainbow was so cute when she was younger. The art towards the end was absolutely gorgeous, especially with joke. You did amazing!!! Thank you so much for making this!
I played it and GOD DAMN. The entire atmosphere has gotten me on the edge of my seat waiting for something bad to happen (haha I guess really getting into the mindset, huh?) Joke and Rainbow's dynamic is so fraught and emotional and charged and it is making me rethink everything about them. That was INCREDIBLE!!!
im speechless what an amazing experience, i cannot overstate just how harrowing this story was and how excited it made me to feel so intensely about what was happening on screen. i cant remember the last time anything genuinely shocked me like that. ty for making it and sharing <3 :]

Made an account just so I could comment and say thank you, thank you, thank you...~~ your work is so brilliant and getting to read about these characters in an extended format is such a gift. I want to list specific scenes that touched me and that I thought were amazingly paced via both the writing and illustrations (the illustrations... so many of them?!?!) but to avoid spoilers I'll just mention I got up from my seat four or so times while reading, to skip around my room, overwhelmed, due to the fullness in my buzzing heart. 𖦹❤ Thank you for working hard and making beautiful, special things. I feel ripped apart.
